The translator and the author of the book work closely together when a book is translated. It is a challenge to express the meaning of the text in a foreign language in the same way the author intended to do in the source language. A normal translation is not sufficient here. The specialist translator has to put himself in the position of the author and pay attention to the fact that e.g. the book is written in the same style and that the built up tension in the relevant text passages intended by the author will not get lost in the foreign language.
Even after completion of the book's translation, the project management is in close contact with the publishing company, the author and the printing house and accompanies the project until the final control, the proof copy and the definitive print approval.
